Bio

Victor Karnbach works at the intersection of human nature and technology. He runs ThinkClearly, a publication and consulting practice that helps individuals and teams think clearly about artificial intelligence — what it changes, what it doesn't, and how to make decisions when the ground is moving.

His path into AI started with curiosity, not credentials. Years of building software, leading teams, and navigating organisational change taught him that technology is rarely the bottleneck — clarity is. The hard part is not "can we use this model?" but "do we understand the problem we're solving, the people we're solving it for, and the second-order effects of solving it this way?" That conviction — that human judgment is the scarce resource, not compute — shapes everything he writes and every engagement he takes on.

He works as both a consultant and a coach. As a consultant, he helps companies translate AI hype into concrete decisions: what to build, what to buy, what to ignore. As a coach, he works with leaders, founders, and individuals navigating the same uncertainty at a personal level — questions of purpose, direction, and well-being that don't fit neatly inside a Jira ticket.

Victor is the founder of wellgone GmbH, the German limited company behind ThinkClearly. He's based in Bünde, Germany. He writes here because the public conversation about AI is dominated by people selling something — a product, a fear, an ideology. He's interested in the third option: thinking clearly, in writing, in public, with care for the reader and for the truth of the moment.
